How Do I Start a Return?

Starting a return is easy:

  1. Email us at support@basicsforbjj.com with your order number
  2. Include the reason for your return (sizing issue, changed mind, etc.)
  3. We'll reply within 24 hours with a prepaid shipping label (for Canadian orders) or return instructions
  4. Ship the item back in its original packaging

Once we receive your return, we'll process your refund within 5-7 business days.

What Items Are Eligible for Return?

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unworn and unwashed - Items cannot have been used on the mats
  • In original condition - With all tags attached
  • Within 30 days of delivery
  • In original packaging - Including any protective bags

We inspect all returns to ensure they meet these requirements. Items that don't meet these criteria may be returned to you.

How Long Do Refunds Take?

Once we receive your return:

  • Inspection: 1-2 business days
  • Refund processing: 3-5 business days
  • Bank processing: 3-5 additional business days (varies by bank)

You'll receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed. The refund will be credited to your original payment method.

Can I Exchange Instead of Return?

Absolutely! If you need a different size or color:

  2. Let us know what you'd like to exchange for
  3. We'll check availability and provide instructions

For the fastest service on size exchanges, we recommend placing a new order for the correct size and returning the original item for a refund. This ensures you get your new gear as quickly as possible.

What Items Cannot Be Returned?

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Worn or washed items - Gear that has been used on the mats
  • Items without tags - Original tags must be attached
  • Final sale items - Marked as final sale at checkout
  • Items damaged by customer - Tears, stains, or alterations
  • Returns requested after 30 days

If you received a defective item, please contact us immediately. Defective items are handled under our 1-Year Warranty.
